Oilers Favorable in Game 2 Against Kings
Stuart Skinner Set to Return in Net
Edmonton Leads Best-of-7 Series 1-0
The Edmonton Oilers are heavily favored to defeat the Los Angeles Kings in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series on Tuesday night. The Oilers won Game 1 by a score of 5-3, and they will be looking to take a commanding 2-0 series lead on home ice.
Stuart Skinner is expected to be back in goal for the Oilers in Game 2. Skinner was excellent in the regular season, posting a record of 36-15-5 with a 2.63 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage. He was third in the NHL in wins and fifth in save percentage.
The Oilers have been a different team since Jay Woodcroft took over as head coach in February. They went 27-5-3 at home following the coaching change, and they are 3-0 at Rogers Place in the playoffs so far.
The Kings are a dangerous team, but they are not as strong as the Oilers on paper. The Oilers are the more talented team, and they have the home-ice advantage. We anticipate the Oilers -192 on the moneyline to beat the Kings 160 on the moneyline.
