Early Life and Career

Henry William Dalgliesh Cavill was born on May 5, 1983, in the Bailiwick of Jersey, a British Crown dependency in the Channel Islands. Cavill's passion for acting emerged at a young age, and he made his acting debut in the 2001 film Laguna.

International Recognition

Cavill gained international recognition for his portrayal of Charles Brandon, the first Duke of Suffolk, in Showtime's historical drama "The Tudors" (2007-2010). His performance as the dashing and ambitious nobleman earned him critical acclaim and a nomination for a Golden Globe Award.

In 2013, Cavill took on the iconic role of Superman/Clark Kent in Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel," launching his career into the stratosphere.
