Belgium registered their first win at Euro 2024 with a 2-0 victory over Romania in Cologne on Thursday. Youri Tielemans opened the scoring inside the first two minutes with a superb strike, and Kevin De Bruyne made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute.

Belgium started the game brightly and took an early lead when Tielemans curled a shot into the top corner from the edge of the area. Romania struggled to create chances in the first half, and Belgium doubled their lead when De Bruyne finished off a move involving Tielemans and Romelu Lukaku.
Romania improved after the break and had a couple of chances to pull a goal back, but Belgium held on for a comfortable victory. The win moves Belgium top of Group B, while Romania remain bottom of the group.
