Michael Anthony Vitar, born December 21, 1978, is an American firefighter and former actor who appeared as Benjamin "Benny the Jet" Rodriguez in the 1993 film "The Sandlot." Vitar pursued acting from 1990 to 1997 before transitioning into a career as a firefighter in 2002, joining the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The 43-year-old has spent the last two decades serving as a firefighter while continuing to reside in Southern California. Vitar's transition from the entertainment industry to firefighting was a significant change, marking a new chapter in his life.
